Responsibilities

• Responsible for keeping an organization’s database environments secure, stable, high-performing, and available for business-critical applications.
• Able to lead the design, administration, optimization, and support of enterprise database platforms while working closely with infrastructure, applications, security, and business teams.
• Manage, maintain, and support enterprise database systems in production, test, and development environments
• Administer database platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relevant technologies
• Monitor database health, performance, storage, availability, and capacity - Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migration activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, outages, and performance issues - Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to protect business data
• Optimize SQL queries, indexing, and overall database performance
• Ensure database security, access control, encryption, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator at least 3 years, with experience in database design, administration, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency level needed in relational databases: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
• Experience with database clustering, replication, partitioning, and high-availability configurations.
• Strong understanding of database security protocols, including encryption, user management, and auditing.
• Expertise in backup and disaster recovery strategies, troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve database-related performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
