Dental Assistant / Dental Surgery Assistant

Job Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and dental professionals during dental procedures and treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment and dental materials.
• Perform cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of instruments in accordance with infection control standards.
• Prepare and support patients before, during and after treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with documentation.
• Monitor and replenish dental supplies and consumables.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the clinical environment.
• Work closely with dentists and the healthcare team to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma or relevant qualification in Dental Nursing, Dental Assisting, Healthcare or a related field.
• Relevant dental or healthcare experience will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, responsible and patient-focused.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Good understanding of infection control and workplace safety practices.
