IT Systems Officer

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Systems Officer to support and administer our Microsoft 365 environment, end-user systems, and IT infrastructure. The role will provide L1/L2 technical support, maintain IT systems and security, and work with internal teams and vendors to ensure reliable IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Defender.
• Provide L1/L2 technical support to users onsite and remotely, including vessel environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Monitor system performance, security, backups, and updates.
• Manage IT hardware deployment, replacement, lifecycle, and asset inventory.
• Coordinate user onboarding and offboarding.
• Maintain IT documentation, procedures, and system records.
• Coordinate with vendors on IT services, procurement, and issue resolution.
• Perform regular IT operational checks and support system improvements.
• Provide after-hours/weekend standby support and overseas travel when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of L1/L2 IT support experience in a medium to large enterprise environment.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Working experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender.
• Minimum 2 years of exposure to network and firewall support.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to support after-hours/weekend standby and travel overseas when required.

Preferred

• Microsoft 365 or Azure Administrator certification.
• Experience supporting maritime, offshore, or vessel environments.
