Job Description
Job Summary**
Responsible for leading and managing a key functional area within United Overseas Bank Ltd, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the achievement of business objectives.
Job Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with the bank's overall goals.
* Oversee and manage daily operations within the assigned department or business unit, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Manage financial budgets, resources, and performance metrics to achieve optimal results.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with business operations and regulatory requirements.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulators.
* Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
* Represent the bank in internal and external forums as required.
* Prepare and present reports to senior management on performance, progress, and strategic recommendations.
Job Qualifications**
* Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of success in managing complex projects, teams, and achieving business targets.
* Strong understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory environments.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or relevant Master's degree is highly preferred.
* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
