Job Responsibilities

1. L3 Technical Support & Incident Management

• Provide L3 support for complex infrastructure incidents escalated from L1/L2 teams.
• Troubleshoot server, virtualisation, storage, backup, and performance issues.
• Lead major incident investigations, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Ensure incidents are resolved within agreed SLAs and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

2. Virtualisation & Compute Infrastructure

• Administer and troubleshoot VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, and virtual networking.
• Manage Cisco UCS infrastructure, including UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, blades, service profiles, and firmware.
• Support physical and virtual servers, Windows Server administration, patching, upgrades, provisioning, and performance optimisation.

3. Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Manage and troubleshoot NetApp storage, including SAN/NAS, NFS, SMB, LUNs, capacity, and performance.
• Administer and troubleshoot Veritas NetBackup and/or Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Support backup monitoring, recovery, replication, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity activities.

4. Infrastructure Maintenance & Improvement

• Plan and execute infrastructure patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.
• Develop implementation, validation, and rollback plans in accordance with change management procedures.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve complex technical issues and improve infrastructure stability.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Practical experience with Cisco UCS and NetApp storage.
• Strong experience with Veritas NetBackup and/or Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration, PowerShell scripting, infrastructure monitoring, and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience with ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Relevant VMware, Cisco, NetApp, Veeam, or other infrastructure certifications are advantageous.
