The job of an academic is both challenging and meaningful. Beyond possessing strong industry knowledge, skills, and experience in Digital Media & Communications, successful candidates should also demonstrate a passion for working with youths, nurturing their growth, and shaping meaningful learning experiences.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, the role will support the School’s outreach, student engagement, and marketing initiatives, with a strong focus on digital storytelling, content creation, youth engagement, and event activations. The successful candidate should be creative, resourceful, trendy, and digitally savvy, with a strong understanding of youth culture, social media trends, and digital communications.
The role offers opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, outreach campaigns, industry collaborations, school engagement initiatives, and strategic projects across the School and institution. Administrative work related to teaching, outreach, and School/Institutional initiatives will also form an important part of the role.
The appointee must be able to develop course materials, teach, and facilitate students’ learning in:
• Digital Marketing

• Digital Content Development
As well as in one or more of the following areas:
• Social Media Marketing
• Journalism
• Research & Strategy

[What you will be working on]
Responsibilities:
Outreach & Student Engagement
- Support and coordinate outreach events and engagement activities such as Open House, school talks, learning journeys, exhibitions, competitions, and recruitment events
- Plan and coordinate secondary school outreach initiatives and student engagement programmes
- Support the development and execution of outreach and recruitment campaigns during key student recruitment periods
- Work closely with student ambassadors, alumni, industry partners, and stakeholders to strengthen outreach and engagement efforts
- Coordinate event logistics, operational matters, and stakeholder communications to ensure smooth event execution
Marketing & Content Creation
- Develop and manage trendy and engaging content across social media and digital platforms such as TikTok and Instagram
- Manage the school’s social media presence as an always-on engagement platform
- Monitor emerging social media, digital marketing, youth, and industry trends to support outreach and engagement initiatives
- Support EDM communications, outreach-related database management, reporting, and administrative coordination
Teaching & Learning
- Develop curriculum, learning experiences, and course content for students in Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes
- Deliver engaging and industry-relevant learning experiences in Digital Media & Communications-related areas
- Support students’ learning, growth, and development through active and applied learning approaches
- Plan, lead, and manage industry projects and collaborations to support authentic learning experiences
- Support teaching-related administration including lesson preparation, assessment coordination, curriculum development, and academic quality processes
[What we are looking for]
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media, Business, Arts, Design, or related disciplines.
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in Digital Marketing, Communications, Content Creation, Outreach, or related fields.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in digital marketing strategy and implementation across social media platforms.
- Proven track record leading full-funnel digital marketing campaigns across social media, SEO/SEM, paid media, lead generation, CRM and programmatic.
- Proven experience in content creation, community management, social media engagement, and campaign execution.
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, presentation design, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in content creation and creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with confidence engaging youths and stakeholders.
- Resourceful, trendy, adaptable, and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Finger on the pulse of the digital, media, and marketing landscape, from emerging tech and AI to shifting platform behaviours, with the curiosity and drive to experiment and not just observe.
- Passionate about youth development, teaching, and nurturing individuals in the field of Digital Marketing and Communications.
- Prior experience in teaching, facilitation, training, curriculum development, outreach, or youth engagement will be an advantage.
Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
