Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery — from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure — across technology and business change initiatives.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria in alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, resource plans, budgets, and schedules using appropriate project management tools.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes — escalating where necessary to senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate regular project meetings including kick-offs, status reviews, sprint ceremonies (where applicable), and steering committee presentations.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, business sponsors, vendors, and third-party delivery partners — ensuring clear and timely communication throughout.
• Track and report on project progress, budget utilisation, KPIs, and milestones — producing accurate status reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Manage change requests and ensure scope changes are properly assessed, approved, and documented in accordance with governance frameworks.
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, and go-live activities — working closely with QA, technical, and business teams to ensure smooth deployment and transition to BAU.
• Drive post-project reviews and lessons learnt sessions to continuously improve delivery practices and frameworks.
• Ensure all project activities comply with organisational governance, audit, and compliance requirements.
• Support the PMO in developing and refining project management standards, templates, and best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of project management experience delivering complex IT or business transformation projects, preferably in banking, financial services, or enterprise IT environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with budgets ranging from SGD $500K to SGD $5M+.
• Strong proficiency in both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall / PRINCE2 methodologies — with the ability to adapt the approach to project context.
• Experience managing cross-functional and offshore/onshore teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills — able to engage and influence at C-suite, business sponsor, and technical team levels.
• Proficiency in project management tools — MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, or equivalent.
• Strong risk management, issue resolution, and escalation management capabilities.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), system integration, and infrastructure projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to present complex project status clearly to non-technical audiences.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is required or strongly preferred.

Good to have

• Experience managing core banking, payments, digital transformation, or regulatory compliance projects (e.g. MAS requirements, Basel III, IFRS 9).
• Familiarity with cloud migration projects on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to vendor management and contract governance in outsourced delivery models.
• Agile certification — SAFe, CSM (Certified Scrum Master), or PMI-ACP.
• Experience working within a PMO structure and contributing to enterprise project governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of change management frameworks (Prosci ADKAR or equivalent).
