System Software Architect

Responsibilities

·       Lead the end-to-end architecture, design and development of embedded software, firmware and application-level solutions for complex, high-performance products.

·       Define scalable, secure and maintainable software architectures, system interfaces and integration strategies across hardware and software platforms.

·       Design and develop embedded Linux solutions, including OS customization, kernel configuration, Yocto/ PetaLinux, firmware and application software.

·       Lead system integration, debugging, performance optimistin and reliability testing, while providing technical direction on complex engineering issues.

·       Provide technical leadership to software engineers and collaborate with product, project, hardware and external stakeholders to drive technical decisions and successful product delivery.

Requirements

·       Minimum5 years of experience in embedded software/system design and development, with demonstrated experience in software architecture, technical design and system integration.

·       Strong programming skills in C/C++, Rust, Python and Bash, with hands-on experience developing software for embedded or resource-constrained systems.

·       Strong experience with Embedded Linux, preferably including Yocto/ PetaLinux, OS customization, kernel configuration, BSPs or Linux kernel drivers; RTOS or bare-metal experience is advantageous.

·       Good understanding of hardware-software integration, networking and system-level debugging, including Ethernet, TCP/IP/UDP, routing, switching and network security fundamentals.

·       Strong technical leadership and communication skills, with experience in DevOps/CI/CD, GitLab and Docker; exposure to cybersecurity, secure coding, FPGA/SoC or security products is an advantage.

·       Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be Singapore Citizens and able to meet the requirements for government security clearance.
