About the opportunity

A global technology group is seeking a Regional Legal Counsel to support its business across Southeast Asia.

Location: Singapore

The role

You will provide regional legal and contract-management support across the full lifecycle of complex technology projects, from tenders and negotiations through project execution, claims and completion.

Key responsibilities

Draft and negotiate customer, partner and subcontractor agreements

Lead contractual strategy for tenders, variations, extensions and new project phases

Advise on legal risks, financial exposure and mitigation measures

Manage contractual obligations, notices, amendments, claims and disputes

Support project teams on contract performance and customer communications

Coordinate with external counsel on complex legal matters and litigation

Support compliance matters, including anti-corruption, antitrust, data protection, trade compliance and third-party screening

Improve legal templates, internal processes and training materials

Requirements

Recognised law degree or equivalent legal qualification

More than 6 years’ PQE, including relevant in-house experience

Strong commercial contracting, negotiation and contract-management capabilities

Experience supporting complex cross-border projects

Exposure to the technology sector or major project contracts would be advantageous

Commercially minded with strong stakeholder-management skills

Willing to travel regionally approximately once a month
