Role Overview

We are looking for a technically-minded, commercially aware, and highly organised Sales Engineer / Sales Co-ordinator to support and grow our client base across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. This is a client-facing, results-driven role that combines technical understanding of maritime and offshore services with strong business development, coordination, and relationship management skills. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Identify, approach, and develop new business prospects across the Asia-Pacific region. 

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing key accounts in the shipping, offshore, and oil & gas sectors. 

  • Prepare and follow up on technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders. 

  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, pipeline activity, and deal status in CRM. 

  • Coordinate with operations, technical, and finance teams to ensure seamless client service delivery. 

  • Possess a thorough understanding of Zener's full suite of services across the Inspection & Survey, Design & Engineering, and Technology divisions. 

  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and industry trends in the assigned geographies. 

  • Track competitor activity and market developments; provide regular intelligence to management. 

  • Plan and execute client visits across the region, ideally in tandem with subject matter experts, as part of the company’s annual marketing and client engagement strategy. 

  • Attend and represent Zener at relevant industry events, trade exhibitions, networking forums and client visits as required across Asia (including Posidonia and other maritime forums). 

  • Provide post-visit reports, including insights, action plans, and follow-up commitments. 

  • Support preparation of reports, marketing materials, and capability presentations. 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, OR a degree in Business/Commerce with demonstrable maritime industry experience preferred. Candidates with relevant Sales and/or Business Development experience are also encouraged to apply. 

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a Sales, Business Development, or client-facing role within the Maritime, Offshore, Oil & Gas, or Inspection services sector. 

  • Good understanding of vessel operations, class requirements, inspection services, or condition monitoring preferred. 

  • Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and professional communication platforms. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional Asian languages an advantage. 

  • Based in Singapore with valid right to work; Singaporeans and PRs only.
