Review work prepared by junior team members where required
Provide guidance and technical support to Accounts Executives
Assist managers with more complex accounting assignments and client matters
Identify accounting issues early and escalate material matters appropriately
Maintain proper working papers and supporting documentation
Work closely with Tax, Corporate Secretarial, and other internal teams where necessary

You should ideally have:

Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with clients
A strong sense of ownership and accountability
Experience reviewing junior accountants' work or providing guidance to team members will be an added advantage.
You are likely to thrive at Margin Wheeler if you:
Take ownership of your portfolio and do not need constant chasing
Are capable of identifying and resolving accounting issues independently
Care about both accuracy and turnaround time
Are comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment
Communicate proactively when you foresee a delay or problem
Are willing to guide and support junior team members
Are receptive to feedback and constantly look for ways to improve
Enjoy using technology and AI to make accounting work more efficient
Want your performance and contribution to directly influence your career progression
Are looking to progress beyond an individual contributor role
We value people who are technically competent, reliable, commercially aware, efficient, and willing to take responsibility.
For strong performers, the Senior Accounts Executive role can be a stepping stone towards:
Senior Accounts Executive → Assistant Manager → Manager → Senior Manager
Progression is based on your ability to deliver, manage responsibility, support the team, and demonstrate leadership potential.
You do not have to wait purely based on seniority.
You will work with companies across different industries, sizes, and stages of growth.
This gives you exposure to a much wider range of accounting scenarios than you would typically experience working in the finance department of a single company.
As a Senior Accounts Executive, you may have opportunities to review junior team members' work, provide guidance, and gradually take on greater supervisory responsibilities.
This allows you to build the skills required to eventually move into management.
We actively explore AI, automation, and technology to reduce repetitive accounting work and improve productivity.
We want our accounting professionals focusing on work that requires judgement and expertise rather than spending unnecessary time on manual processes.
We believe good employees should know what is expected of them.
You will have clear responsibilities, measurable expectations, and regular feedback so you understand how you are performing and what is required to progress.
Employees who consistently demonstrate strong technical ability, accountability, efficiency, and leadership potential will be given opportunities to take on larger responsibilities and progress within the company.
Competitive salary based on experience and capability
5-day work week, Monday to Friday
Annual leave entitlement with additional leave based on length of service
Medical and dental benefits
Regular performance reviews
Training and professional development opportunities
Exposure to a diverse portfolio of Singapore companies
Opportunities for promotion and career advancement
Opportunities to develop supervisory and leadership experience
A modern workplace that actively adopts technology, automation, and AI
Stable and established organisation with more than a decade of operating history
If you already have strong accounting experience and are looking for a role where you can take greater ownership, handle more challenging work, develop leadership experience, and progress towards management, we encourage you to apply.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are technically competent, dependable, ambitious, and serious about building a long-term accounting career.
