Senior Consultant, AI Platform Engineering

Our client is looking for a Senior Consultant, AI Platform Engineering to build scalable AI platforms, reusable services, and enterprise-grade AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core AI platform capabilities, including LLM endpoints, agent runtimes, vector databases, knowledge services, model routing, and shared platform services.
• Develop scalable, secure, and reusable AI platform components that support enterprise-wide AI adoption and solution delivery.
• Engineer reusable AI products and frameworks such as agent orchestration, memory and context management, agent loops, MCP tools, SDKs, and implementation accelerators.
• Establish common engineering patterns and platform services to improve consistency, reduce duplication, and accelerate development across teams.
• Operate and continuously enhance platform reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Ensure AI platform services remain production-ready, well-supported, and suitable for long-term institutional use.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, platform enhancements, and the adoption of emerging AI and engineering technologies.
• Improve developer experience by strengthening reusable capabilities, engineering standards, and platform effectiveness.
• Embed governance, security, safety, and compliance requirements into the design, development, and operation of AI platform services.
• Collaborate closely with governance, platform, and solution teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant AI capabilities.
• Promote best practices in software engineering, platform operations, and AI service delivery to support enterprise-wide AI initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry developments and recommend innovative approaches to strengthen the organization's AI platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, application development, or AI platform delivery.
• Strong proficiency in Python and software development best practices.
• Experience building APIs, automation solutions, and cloud-native applications.
• Good understanding of AI platform technologies, including LLMs, AI agents, vector databases, APIs, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience developing reusable AI tools, services, or platform components.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, system integration, and production support environments.
• Understanding of security, governance, and secure software delivery practices.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
