We are looking for a creative, energetic and hands-on Social Media Manager who can take ownership of our social media presence, create engaging content and strengthen the SARVA brand across digital platforms.
This is not a desk-only social media role. The successful candidate should be comfortable visiting our studios, attending classes and events, interacting with teachers and students, and actively capturing content.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
• Manage SARVA's social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other relevant channels.
• Develop and maintain a monthly social media and content calendar.
• Plan, schedule and publish regular posts, reels, stories, videos and promotional content.
• Ensure consistent branding, tone and quality across all social media channels.
• Monitor engagement, comments, messages, trends and platform performance.
• Identify current social media trends and creatively adapt them to suit the SARVA brand.
Content Creation
• Regularly visit SARVA branches to capture high-quality photos and videos of classes, students, teachers, performances and activities.
• Conceptualise, shoot and edit engaging Reels, short-form videos, photographs and other social content.
• Coordinate with teachers and branch teams to plan suitable content and filming opportunities.
• Create content around student achievements, performances, testimonials, new programmes, branch activities and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Develop creative concepts that make Indian classical arts appealing to both traditional and modern audiences.
Digital Marketing
• Plan and execute social media campaigns for admissions, new courses, workshops, events and branch launches.
• Manage and monitor paid social media advertising campaigns.
• Support lead-generation campaigns and work with Management to improve campaign performance.
• Track key metrics including reach, engagement, enquiries, leads and conversions.
• Prepare periodic social media performance reports and recommend improvements.
Events & Performances
• Attend major SARVA events, performances, productions and other activities to capture social media content.
• Plan pre-event promotions, live/event-day content and post-event highlights.
• Coordinate with photographers, videographers and other media vendors where required.
• Ensure important events and achievements receive timely social media coverage.
Media Management
• Organise and maintain photographs, videos, designs and other digital media assets.
• Maintain systematic folders, file names and archives for easy retrieval.
• Ensure raw footage and completed media assets are properly stored and backed up.
Requirements
• Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media, Design or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant social media/content creation experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and current social media trends.
• Strong skills in Reels and short-form video creation.
• Ability to shoot good-quality photos and videos using a smartphone and/or camera.
• Proficiency in video editing and design tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Canva, Photoshop or similar software.
• Basic understanding of Meta Ads and digital advertising.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong creative sense and visual aesthetic.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of content requirements.
• Comfortable working around children, students, teachers and parents in an educational environment.
• Willing to travel between SARVA's different locations in Singapore.
• Willing to work during selected evenings, weekends and events when required.
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly looking for someone who:
• Creates rather than waits for content to be given to them.
• Constantly looks for interesting moments and stories that can become engaging social content.
• Understands what makes people stop scrolling and watch.
• Can balance creativity with business objectives such as admissions and lead generation.
• Is organised enough to manage multiple branches, campaigns and deadlines.
• Takes ownership of SARVA's social media presence and continuously looks for ways to improve it.
Compensation & Benefits
• Monthly Salary: S$2,500 – S$3,500, commensurate with experience and capabilities.
• Annual leave and statutory benefits in accordance with Singapore employment requirements.
• Opportunities for career progression as the organisation expands.
• Exposure to large-scale cultural events, performances and productions.
