Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead and oversee a dynamic team of 30 individuals, including the Procurement and Logistics departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining full regulatory compliance across operations.

The Supply Chain Manager will drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance while fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious team culture. This role requires strong market insights, inventory management skills, and cross-functional collaboration to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 30 employees across Procurement and Logistics departments.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
  • Implement strategies for team performance improvement and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Supply Chain Optimization:

  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Implement effective forecasting and planning methods to ensure seamless supply chain flow and prevent delays.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure all supply chain activities adhere to safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Lead and enforce compliance with relevant regulations, including local, national, and international laws and industry standards.
  • Regularly monitor and audit operations to ensure safety protocols and compliance measures are maintained across all departments.

Vendor and Supplier Relations:

  • Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality standards, timely deliveries, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions where necessary to maintain high service levels.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and associated carrying costs.
  • Ensure proper documentation, tracking, and reporting of inventory, shipments, and deliveries.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Utilize supply chain data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to analyze performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management on supply chain performance, cost-saving initiatives, and team progress.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead initiatives for process improvements, automation, and technology upgrades to enhance supply chain performance.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices, and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments such as Sales, Finance and HR to align supply chain goals with company objectives.
  • Ensure effective communication between departments to avoid delays or disruptions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a management position.
  • Proven experience managing a team of 20+ individuals, preferably across supply chain functions.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, safety standards, GDPMDS and other regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software, Oracle NetSuite systems and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency optimization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of lean management and process improvement methodologies.
