Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Vice President to contribute to the strategic growth and operational excellence of United Overseas Bank Ltd. This role will involve leading key initiatives, managing high-performing teams, and driving significant business outcomes within a dynamic financial services environment.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the bank's overall objectives, specifically focusing on Trade Finance Operations and Wholesale Banking Operations
Lead and manage a team of professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the execution of key projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and achievement of desired outcomes.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control for assigned portfolios or departments.
Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
Prepare and present reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management.
Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the bank.
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and achieving significant business results.
Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, and market dynamics within International Trade Finance market
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and relevant banking software.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong ethical conduct and commitment to regulatory compliance.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other regional languages may be an advantage.
