UOB Group Technology and Operations (GTO) in Singapore is looking for an experienced Murex techno-functional developer/analyst to join its core Treasury IT team to support the bank’s treasury division for the business with Commodities, Credit Derivative, FXD, IRD,FX, MM, Fixed Income products in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and its overseas branches across the globe.

A successful candidate is expected to have:

Essential Skills:  

• At least 7 years’ experience working as a senior developer on Murex Market Risk modules and datamart modules
• Good and thorough understanding of bank’s front office and back office operations, risk, finance and accounting.
• Good knowledge on treasure products in terms product characteristics, trade life cycle, market operations, risk management, P&L calculation.
• Some experience in FO modules like pre-trade rules, calculation template, pricing template, UDF, Lookup table etc.
• Good experience with stakeholder engagement and effective communication with stakeholders
• Good experience of implementing enhancement involving mix of waterfall and agile approaches
• Ability to perform complex business analysis and requirement gathering and system impact analysis independently
• Excellent skills in functional specification documentation, design test cases
• Good knowledge on regulatory requirement on market risk and capital charge
• Good experience with UOB internal process and the various development tools
• With team lead experience.

Preferred skills:

• Some knowledge in Murex functions including accounting and mxml workflow are preferred.
• Experience in Unix, preferably Linux (Redhat) and Solaris to the level of checking processes, writing shell scripts and checking log files.
• Strong in Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Development Lead for GMP Marekt Risk Development Team.
• Gather requirements, conduct impact analysis and deisgn, and manage the development and support for projects/change requests
• Understand Functional Requirement and the required delivery from the team.
• Plan, monitor and manage risks/issues related to delivery
• Allocate the development work within the team and track the progress
• Ensure the team follows the Bank’s development guidelines and standards.
• Ensure the Team have all the necessary development tools and the knowledge to use those tools 
• Train the team in the required areas
• Track team members performance and provide performance feedback.
• Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations for the team
