Responsibilities

• Execute Risk-Based Assurance: Lead independent compliance monitoring programmes, regulatory surveillance, and thematic reviews across key financial legislations (including the Banking Act, SFA, FAA, and PDPA).

• Innovate Testing Methodologies: Review, develop, and enhance testing frameworks, monitoring tools, and templates to maximize the effectiveness of compliance assurance activities.

• Champion Governance & Controls: Evaluate business and support functions' processes, identify potential compliance vulnerabilities, and collaborate on robust solutions.

• Author High-Impact Reports: Synthesize complex findings into crystal-clear monitoring reports, management dashboards, and regulatory summaries for Senior Management, the Board, and regulators.

• Manage Audits & Inspections: Act as a key coordinator during internal/external audits and regulatory inspections, managing information flows and delivering precise responses under pressure.

• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep a close pulse on evolving regulatory expectations and seamlessly integrate legislative updates into the bank’s monitoring frameworks.

Required Skills

• Domain Experience: Solid, hands-on background in Regulatory Compliance, Compliance Monitoring & Testing, Assurance, Risk Management, or Internal Audit within the financial services sector.

• Regulatory Fluency: Strong working knowledge of Singapore’s financial services regulatory landscape and key legislative frameworks.

• The Right Edge: Exceptional analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with a meticulous eye for detail.

• Communication Power: Excellent report-writing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex risks and recommendations clearly to senior leaders.
