Govt Social Assistance Ops Branch

Location: Thomson Area (Near Caldecott MRT)

Headcount: 3-5

Period: 1 Year

Salary: $3340/Mth

Job Description:

1. Process SCFA applications from Student Care Centres. Assess applications against scheme eligibility criteria to determine qualification for SCFA and recommend appropriate subsidies and assistance duration.

2. Manage appeals from parents, student care centre operators, social workers, and other relevant parties who do not qualify for assistance or for higher subsidies.

3. Process refunds for overpayments where required

4. You will be using systems to process applications efficiently whilst maintaining familiarity with scheme eligibility criteria and Standard Operating Procedures. This includes ensuring that applications received are complete and to liaise with stakeholders if more information is required.

5. Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Degree in any fields

• Strong analytical and assessment skills to evaluate applications against eligibility criteria

• Ability to manage high-volume workloads whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

• IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft excel

• Demonstrates adaptability in learning and operating various systems to meet work requirements

• Able to work both independently and be a team player

• Be diligent, pro-active, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
