Maternity Cover role

You will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and process vendor invoices to ensure accurate recording and timely payment of expenses
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address supplier payment queries
  • Review and reconcile supplier statements against purchase ledger balances, and investigate any discrepancies
  • Prepare and process customer refunds, including retrieval of payment advice
  • Perform system currency revaluation during month-end closing
  • Prepare bi-weekly payment forecasts for Treasury
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements
  • Process and manage staff claims and reimbursements
  • Participate in system implementation and improvement projects
  • Support quarterly and annual stock take exercises where required
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or professional qualification in Accounting
  • Preferably 3–5 years of relevant hands-on accounting experience
  • Fast learner with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering quality work
  • Able to handle confidential information and work in ambiguous situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially strong Excel skills
