SoH is developing a new Institute for AI Ethics in collaboration with the College of Computing and Data Science, and the successful candidate could be appointed co-director of this Institute and could be cross-appointed with the College of Computing and Data Science.

The Department of Philosophy at NTU Singapore invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are hiring for multiple positions, with the aim of promoting the strategic development of NTU Philosophy. The areas of specialization are open for all positions.

The NTU Philosophy Department offers a Major and Minor in Philosophy, and a postgraduate degree programme, with both MA and PhD students. Our degree programmes have a strong record of job placement. NTU philosophy faculty have particular strengths in ethics, Asian and comparative philosophy, and philosophy of science. Teaching and Supervision

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Philosophy. The candidate will supervise postgraduate research and contribute actively to mentoring students in Philosophy.

• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching and student mentorship
