ENT NURSE

We are a specialist private practice providing comprehensive ENT care alongside facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. The clinic is designed around efficient patient flow, procedural care, surgery coordination and a high standard of personalised service.

We are building a small, capable team in which people are expected to communicate well, help one another and take ownership rather than work within rigid departmental boundaries.

The role

We are seeking a clinically capable and highly organised ENT Nurse who is comfortable in a busy private-practice environment providing ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery Services. You will assist with consultations and procedures, coordinate investigations and surgery, support insurance and LOG workflows, and help ensure that each patient receives clear, responsive and reassuring care.

The right person is proactive, adaptable and resourceful - someone who notices what needs to be done, follows tasks through, and remains calm when several priorities arise at once.

Key responsibilities

ENT clinical care

•  Assist the doctor during ENT and facial plastic surgery consultations, examinations and procedures within your scope of practice

•  Prepare patients, instruments and rooms for flexible nasal endoscopy, otology and minor office procedures

•  Support ear and nasal procedures, dressings, wound care and post-operative reviews as appropriate

•  Provide clear pre-procedure, medication and post-treatment instructions to patients

•  Coordinate audiology, imaging, laboratory investigations and specialist referrals

•  Maintain emergency readiness, BCLS/AED competency and appropriate clinical escalation processes
•  Prepare consultation and treatment rooms, patients, forms and required equipment before clinics and procedures

Surgical & procedural coordination

•  Coordinate pre-operative workup, investigations, clearances, hospital or day-surgery bookings and post-operative follow-up

•  Liaise with operating facilities, anaesthetists, laboratories, radiology, audiology and referring practitioners

•  Ensure required equipment, instruments, medications and consumables are available for procedures and operating lists

•  Track outstanding results, patient instructions and follow-up actions so that important items are not missed

•  Support post-operative wound care, suture removal and recovery follow-up within scope and training

Operations, insurance & teamwork

Clinic operations & safety

•  Maintain high standards of infection prevention, aseptic technique, instrument processing and clinical-room readiness

•  Manage stock levels, expiry dates, medication and consumable availability, and equipment checks

•  Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support safe handling of patient records and photographs

•  Assist with clinic protocols, checklists, workflow improvements, incident reporting and inspection readiness

•  Use EMR and clinic management systems accurately and consistently

Insurance & administration

•  Prepare and follow up Letters of Guarantee (LOGs), pre-authorisations and supporting insurance documentation

•  Liaise with insurers, third-party administrators and hospital business offices on estimates, approvals and documentation

•  Support accurate procedure documentation, coding information and medical letters when required

•  Coordinate appointments and communicate clearly with patients by telephone, messaging and email

•  Help the administrative team when needed so that clinical and front-desk workflows remain connected

Requirements

Essential

•  Experienced in Plato is a must. Experienced in helping patients in insurance claims.

•  Strong interpersonal skills.

•  Well-groomed and presentable. Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance suitable for a client-facing environment.

•  Excellent customer-service mindset.

•  Current Singapore Nursing Board registration as a Registered Nurse with a valid Practising Certificate

•  Current BCLS + AED certification

•  Strong patient communication skills and a professional, reassuring manner

•  Good organisational ability and attention to detail

•  Able to multitask, prioritise and follow tasks through to completion

•  Proactive and resourceful, with initiative and a strong sense of responsibility

•  Comfortable working collaboratively and sharing responsibilities in a small team

Highly desirable

•  Previous ENT nursing experience, additional experience of managing facial plastic surgery patients will be appreciated.

•  Private-practice experience, particularly in a specialist ENT surgeon-led clinic

•  Experience with flexible nasal endoscopy workflows, otology procedures or post-operative ENT care

•  Experience with insurance, LOG applications, pre-authorisation and Integrated Shield Plan processes

•  Experience coordinating surgery or procedures across private hospitals or day-surgery facilities

•  Confidence with EMR and digital clinic systems

•  Working experience with AI-enabled productivity, administrative or healthcare workflow tools

•  Mandarin or another commonly spoken local language is an advantage
