Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offers.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation, exit procedures, and final payments.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers and external agencies on staffing needs.
  • Maintain HR records, organisation charts, and HRIS updates.
  • Administer work passes (applications, renewals, cancellations, and compliance matters).
  • Monitor attendance and leave records for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Support performance management processes, including probation reviews and appraisals.
  • Prepare HR documents such as employment letters, confirmations and resignation acknowledgements.
  • Assist with employee benefits, insurance, and HR administrative support.
  • Support employee relations matters, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate training programmes and manage the internal learning platform.
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing systems, and audit readiness.
  • Organise employee engagement and welfare activities.
  • Liaise with external vendors, service providers, and relevant authorities.
  • Support expatriate relocation where required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Prior experience in the shipping, logistics, or maritime-related industry.
  • Solid understanding of full-spectrum HR operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • HR certification (e.g., IHRP, SHRM, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Timesoft or SAP SuccessFactors) in fast-paced or regional environments is a plus.
