Job description

We are seeking a IT Business Analyst Lead to drive analysis excellence across large, complex programmes. Beyond hands-on delivery, you will lead a team of Business Analysts, shape solution outcomes, and ensure alignment with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with Business Architects, Product Managers, and Solution Architects to translate strategy into actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Analysts to ensure quality and consistency
  • Provide guidance on requirements, stakeholder engagement, and documentation
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture

Business Analysis & Solutioning

  • Oversee requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and solution design
  • Translate requirements into user stories, workflows, and specifications

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Drive analysis planning across project phases, ensuring clear scope and timelines
  • Partner with Product Owners and Project Managers to manage backlog and priorities
  • Ensure timely, in-scope delivery of outputs

Testing & Validation

  • Lead UAT and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business needs
  • Define testing strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage senior stakeholders, including government clients
  • Facilitate workshops and key decision-making sessions
  • Act as the bridge between business and technical teams

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Establish best practices, standards, and governance frameworks
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and tools
  • Ensure consistency, traceability, and compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8+ years of Business Analysis experience, ideally in large-scale or government projects
  • Proven experience leading BA teams
  • Strong skills in requirements management, BPMN/process modelling, and Agile delivery
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio or equivalents
