We are seeking Singapore-based Engineers with strong experience in Apache Kafka and/or Confluent Kafka. Candidates with Javadevelopment expertise and experience supporting enterprise-scaleevent-driven platforms are highly preferred. 

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Kafka clusters across Production, UAT, and Development environments.
• Deploy and manage Kafka clusters using KRaftand Zoo Keeper architectures.
• Configure and maintain topics, partitions, replication, retention policies, SSL/TLS encryption, and ACL-based security.
• Troubleshoot Kafka-related issues including broker failures, consumer lag, replication delays, partition imbalances, and performance bottlenecks.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and high-availability implementations.
• Develop, support, and troubleshoot Java/Spring Boot applications integrated with Kafka.
• Implement monitoring and alerting usingPrometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Center, and Splunk.
• Support CI/CD and automation initiatives usingJenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Linux scripting.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to deliver reliable and scalable event-driven solutions.

RequiredSkills

• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and/or Confluent Kafka
• Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, ksqlDB
• Knowledge of KRaft and ZooKeeper architectures
• Strong proficiency in Java (preferred) and Spring Boot
• Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu)
• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Git
• Container technologies: Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Banking, Healthcare, or other regulated environments
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to DevOps and automation practices
• Knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle, MongoDB, or SQL Server
