[What the role is]

You will be working in the School of Health & Social Sciences to plan, develop and teach sociology as the main discipline, while also contributing to the teaching of psychology and lifeskills-related modules for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and/or Continuing Education and Training (CET).

[What you will be working on]

• Develop and/or conduct lessons (e.g., lectures, tutorials, seminars, project supervision, etc.) in sociology, psychology, and lifeskills-related subjects (e.g., research, critical thinking, innovation, communication, interpersonal & collaboration skills, etc.) for Pre-Employment Training (PET) or Continuing Education and Training (CET) learners, particularly in the health and social sciences domain.

• Undertake assigned student mentoring, including accompanying students for overseas educational/exchange trips.

• Contribute to school promotional activities, administrative functions, and committee work, particularly those requiring expertise in sociology, psychology, research methods, data analysis, or social science-related fields.

[What we are looking for]

• Relevant qualification in Sociology, Psychology, or a closely related Social Science discipline preferably with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Additional qualification in communication and/or other-lifeskills related competency would be an advantage as would working experience in health & social care and/or educational settings.

• Proficient in IT applications, including familiarity with AI tools, for administration, teaching & learning and research & data analysis.

• Analytical and meticulous individual who can think strategically and align with NYP and the national agenda.

• People-oriented individual who possesses strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including the capacity to work well in cross-functional teams.
