Job Summary

Join On Site Alignment as a Propulsion & Alignment Engineer / Marine Service Engineer to troubleshoot, align, and install critical rotating machinery onboard vessels across Southeast Asia, delivering hands-on mechanical expertise and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, align, and install rotating machinery such as main engines, generators, and gearboxes onboard vessels to ensure optimal operation
• Perform stern tube bearing repairs, bearing and coupling replacements, and machinery alignment using shims or chockfast
• Conduct vibration measurement and analysis to support maintenance and repair activities
• Liaise directly with customers on site to understand requirements and provide technical support
• Prepare and follow up with detailed service reports to document work performed and recommendations
• Adapt to changing demands and work conditions in the Southeast Asia region with flexibility and problem-solving skills
• Collaborate effectively with team members and customers to deliver high-quality service and solutions
• Apply creativity to find practical solutions using available materials, tools, and information
• Demonstrate initiative and eagerness to learn new skills and techniques relevant to marine service engineering

Required competencies and certifications

• Hands-on mechanical experience working onboard vessels
