Job description

  • Work Location - Marine Parade Area
  • Working Hours - Mon to Fri, 7.15am - 2.45pm
  • Monthly Salary - up to $20/h
  • School Environment, 5 months contract

Job Scope:

  • Provide first-line support to students.
  • Conduct one-on-one support and build positive, trusting relationships with students.
  • Use restorative practices, active listening, and de-escalation strategies to manage situations effectively.
  • Maintain confidential records of incidents, interventions, and student progress.
  • Respond to student crises, conflicts, and behavioural incidents promptly and professionally.
  • Support student well-being programmes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders when required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related fields.
  • Relevant experience in education, youth work, counselling support, or social services preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and able to handle sensitive situations professionally.
