A Traffic Controller plans and implements the integration of transportation, operations and technology. Responsibilities include planning transportation schedules, monitoring utilisation of transportation resources, reviewing the efficiency of operations, and developing initiatives to manage any possible crisis.

Duties & Responsibilities

·      Manage and lead a team of prime mover drivers

·      Plan and set priorities for daily activities efficiently

·      Assign jobs to drivers according to skillsets as well as ensure efficient fleet management

·      Monitor and track jobs progress to ensure all assignments are delivered timely

·      Control and monitor closely with drivers on their movement through GPS Tracking System in real time

·      Communicate and handle drivers’ feedback and problems efficiently

·      Process and handle documentations through PSA Portnet System & depot booking through CDAS CMS

·      Coordinate and communicate closely with customer service for all customer’s trucking

·      Work closely with Transport Manager to improve and maximize company’s resources

·       Ensure all truck drivers adhere to all safety instructions & requirements at all time

·      Maintain report and calculate trips

·      Perform other duties as assigned by superior

Requirements:

·       Diploma in Logistics Management or GCE 'O'Level or equivalent

·       Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Logistics Industry

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel & Outlook) application

·       Proficient in English and Chinese and able to liaise with internal and external PRC staffs/customers

·       Able to work as a team player, pro-active, self-motivated and high sense of responsibility

·       Good administration and organizing skills

·       Proficient with Jurong Port& PSA Portnet and Haulier

·       Familiar with Singapore roads to assign jobs for drivers

·       Able to start work in short notice

·      Willing to work in Penjuru area
