[What you will be working on]

As part of the Department of Academic Quality & Resources (AQR), the Library works closely with academic schools and institutional partners to identify emerging trends, develop innovative services, and provide insights that support educational excellence and organisational priorities.

What the role is

In this role, you will report to the Manager of the Curation & Research Section and work with a team to:

  • Partner academic schools and departments to embed library resources into learning and teaching activities, while supporting curriculum innovation and research initiatives.
  • Conduct research, environmental scanning and knowledge synthesis to support academic and organisational decision-making.
  • Curate and communicate insights from diverse information sources to support stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver programmes that build information literacy, digital competencies and lifelong learning capabilities.
  • Lead projects and initiatives that strengthen the Library's contribution to student success and institutional priorities.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous learning and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with academic schools, departments and stakeholders as a key Library liaison.
  • Engage stakeholders to identify opportunities to integrate library resources, research support and information expertise into teaching, learning and academic outcomes.
  • Conduct environmental scanning, literature reviews, benchmarking studies and trend analyses to inform decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Curate, synthesise and communicate complex information into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Support curriculum review, educational innovation and academic projects through research and evidence-based approaches.
  • Design and facilitate workshops, consultations and learning activities for staff and students.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects and institutional initiatives.
  • Mentor and support colleagues through coaching, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Develop and improve services in response to changing user needs and emerging developments.
  • Perform officer-in-charge and operational duties during term time, including handling complex enquiries and supporting library operations.
  • Collaborate with partners within and beyond SP to develop innovative services and programmes.

  • Relevant experience in education, research, library and information services, knowledge management, consultancy, learning design, industry practice, or related fields.

  • Ability to work effectively in situations where requirements, pathways and outcomes may not be clearly defined.
