School of Technology for Arts, Media and Design - Associate Lecturer (Sonic Arts)[What you will be working on]
Associate Lecturers will:
• Develop (when necessary) and teach modules such as: Live Sound, Sound Design for Games, Audio Post-Production, Interactive Audio, Sound for Media & Foley Arts
• Supervise students in portfolio development, final year projects and internship
• Invigilate exams during two exam periods per semester (as assigned)
• Develop lecturing competencies by attending training (as assigned)
• Participate in lesson briefings and review sessions
[What we are looking for]
• Qualification preferably in the field of IT, Media and or Sound / Music Specialisation
• A minimum of three years industry experience, preferably in a related field. Teaching experience is an added advantage
• Must have working experience in any of, or a combination of the following areas:- Live Sound, Network Audio, Sound Design for Games, Audio Programming, Location Sound, Audio Post-Production and relevant broadcast standards- Operational knowledge of software such as Adobe Audition, Avid Pro Tools, Ableton Live, MaxMSP, Unity, Wwise
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Able to work within tight deadlines
• Able to communicate well with students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.

• Have strong administrative skills
• Have strong IT skills
• Strong skills in e-learning tools and resources
• Ability to teach one or more of the following modules:- Art of Story- Creative Enterprise
